Election 2004 ~ Would The real Real Deal Stand UP!

EDITOR"S NOTE:I know this isnt about poetry unless you consider this years election to be Poetry in Motion. It's just I am starting to feel strongly about this years election.

The US Census Bureau estimates that there are currently over 6.4 billion people inhabiting this planet - most of whom are too poor, uneducated, illiterate and exploited by the rest of us to ever visit this site....or your's !

When in history did our priorties turn from our neighbor? What would the Great Spiritual Leaders offer for advice. Jesus, King, Buddha, Muhammad, Gandhi, Lao-tzu, Mother Theresa, Chief Washington and many others.

Here's a scarey thought - What if these powerful leaders materialize along with an army of their most stout followers? Whose army would you join ..hmmm?

In the USA we are about to elect a leader to lead us 'and the world' into the future. Who are you going to appoint to this commanding leadership? This is 'not' about who is better at politics or who has the better ad agency. This about you and I, about our children and their children. This is about loving your neighbor and this planet we share or did our priorties change? Maybe we can just wait another four years and maybe a god or goddess of the people, for the people, by the people will step forward and take the bull by the horns.

Before you tell me, Rg, "it dont work that way." You best get on that sorry horse you came here with and ride out of town. NO! Wait. Save the horse, just get your sorry ass out-a-dodge. It works anyway we want it to work. Indeed!

We are about to make a (very) life affecting choice come November. The next 4-8 years will affect the world like no time since (USA) Civil War. Unless you consider the Hippie Movement of the 1960's and the Internet more so.

So I got thinking today, who will I vote for? Who do I really feel will change this beautiful land of ours, this planet? Hmmm Bush? Hmmm Kerry?
