Emerging from a thriving spoken word and music scene in New York City, Karen Gibson Roc and Fluid bring a cohesive and fusion-like sound. They slip in and out of several different musical genres with ease. Karen shares dynamic words of wisdom while intoxicating her audience with raw stage presence. Jazz and Karen came together some three and half years ago through a mutual friend. With his haunting and attention grabbing bass lines and her enticing lyrics they reach out, hold you tight and never let go. Later- guitarist Eric- With his piercingly real and often blues like melodies joined the Fluid picture bringing the swift, tight and wicked drummer- Washington- along for the ride- rounding out the full and often magical sound that is Fluid!
