Meet Poet Teresa Matlock - A Virtual MeetUp At SplashHall Poetry Forums

My name is Teresa A. Matlock, aka NightSongs. I was born in West Plains Mo. and have remained in Missouri my entire life. I began writing poetry one year ago even though I had never read poetry or new anything about it, I just one day decided to start writing down my feelings and it just turned into a poem, so I kept writing and hav'nt stopped.

I enjoy finding new things to do. In the last few years I've began making and collecting dolls, crafts and I enjoy painting. I love art especially vintage art, also digital and fantasy art, modern photography and I'm just crazy about classic movies, very old ones even the silent films.

My favorite classic stars are Joan Crawford, Jean Harlow, Clara Bow and Clark Gable. As a child I dreamed of becoming a movie star and loved anything that sparkled, dressing up in my grandmothers old ball gowns at least thats what I called them, in my world I was beautiful and glamorous, and also quite a dreamer. Though things did'nt turn out the way I expected still I enjoyed believing, thats the beauty of childhood.

In my twenties I worked for awhile as a nanny, also worked in New York as a nanny for a summer. I loved New York and always wanted to go back. There were still so many things I wanted to do and see while I was there but had very little time. My future is still unknown but there are many things I would love to do. Maybe try photography, travel all over the world, indulge in many pleasures and fall deeply in love. One never knows.
